"That means reversal is not appropriate unless we are compelled to conclude that the trial court ' " 'exercised its discretion in an arbitrary, capricious or patently absurd manner that resulted in a manifest miscarriage of justice. [Citations.]' " [Citation.]' " (People v. Paniagua (2012) 209 Cal.App.4th 499, 518.) There was no such abuse here.
