What is the test for an equal division of matrimonial property between spouses?

Saskatchewan, Canada

The following excerpt is from Peakman v. Peakman, 1991 CanLII 7740 (SK QB):

Given the length of the marriage, the duration of the period during which the spouses have lived separate and apart and the date when the matrimonial property was acquired, it would be unfair and inequitable to make an equal division of the value of the property. See Glushyk v. Glushyk (1981), 1981 CanLII 2151 (SK QB), 12 Sask.R. 406; 24 R.F.L.(2d) 4.
