For the sake of brevity I will not review the history of the relationship of the two professions beyond what is necessary to decide this case. Such a review was extensively undertaken by Trainor J. in the Lee's Design case. Although that case dealt with different legislation, it has provided a useful analytical blueprint for a number of subsequent decisions including Pestrak v. Denoon.
