49 The plaintiff relies on McDonald v. LAC Minerals Ltd. unreported, Ontario Judgements: [1987] O.J. No. 1216, It is now well established that the recovery for the loss during the period of reasonable notice is not limited to salary. Courts have awarded, in addition to salary, damages to compensate for loss of pension benefits, and loss of bonuses that the employee might reasonably have expected to receive had he continued his employment during the notice period.
