Canadian law permits the extension of a reasonable notice period where the circumstances of dismissal establish particular bad faith and unfair dealing in the manner of discharge by an employer. Wallace v. United Grain Growers, [1993] 3 S.C.R. 701 at paras. 95 and 98.
