The pattern for this mother has never changed, and there is nothing in the evidence to convince me it ever will. This pattern has been: crisis event, intervention by the Director, the mother appears willing to work cooperatively with service providers, the mother’s profile improves, the children are not removed from the mother's care, services begin, and the mother moves to another location. Services are thereby abandoned and a new crisis arises again placing the children at risk. Question 6 Is there reason to believe these parents will have acquired adequate parenting abilities in the foreseeable future justifying maintaining the children in care for a period beyond the statutory maximum as contemplated in R.B v. Alberta (Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act, Director ) supra.
