Moreover, the law is clear that, while releases are often worded in a broad and general fashion, appearing to cover the end of the world, they must be considered in the context of the dispute. The context often provides a limited background from which an inference may readily be made that the parties meant to apply it only to the claims from the dispute: The Owners, Strata Plan BCS 327 v. IPEX Inc., 2014 BCCA 237 at para. 26.
