Are there retroactive child support for a couple who have separated since 2000?

These parents have been separated since 2000, although the mother swears that they did not separate until 2009. In the mother’s application, the father disclosed an interspousal agreement dated October 15, 2001, which states the separation date as November 4, 2000. Another agreement dated August 20, 2009, addresses child support. As in the case of Skomorowski v. Bernier, 2009 SKQB 55, at para. 32, the facts and circumstances of retroactive child support are not clear. The issue of any retroactive child support is to be determined at trial.
