Where a defendant’s mare strayed through a defective fence into the plaintiff’s field, kicking the plaintiff’s horse and breaking its leg so that it was necessary to euthanize the plaintiff’s horse, it was held the defendant was responsible for his mare’s trespass and the damage was not too remote (Lee v. Riley[6]).
