In Bradford v. Leckie, [2002] O.J. No. 3222 (S.C.J.), the father took early retirement at age 56 from a position at a psychiatric hospital. He also had a small private practice. The court considered his age, education, work experience and obligations in respect of his children, and imputed income equalling the amount in his pensions plus the court’s estimate of his potential income from private practice.
