Section 7(1) of the Guidelines requires the court to consider the parties’ means, not just their income. Means includes other sources of revenue available to the spouse. And the court can also consider the economic well-being of the spouse which includes consideration of family income. (Baum v. Baum, 2000 BCSC 1835 [Baum], at para. 9).
