What is the history of a long litigation history of the parties?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Bradford v. Bradford, 2017 BCSC 661 (CanLII):

The parties have a long litigation history. On October 22, 2008, after a three-day trial, Curtis J. granted a divorce and made orders that included joint custody and guardianship of the parties’ two sons, C. and J., then aged eight and six respectively. There were many subsequent applications dealing with a variety of matters. Much of this history was reviewed by Crawford J. in a decision of October 28, 2015 (Bradford v. Bradford, 2015 BCSC 1967). I will refer to the factual chronology most pertinent to the matter that is now before the court.
