For the final three years of her employment, she held the position of store manager, responsible for supervision and training of staff, approval of interior design layouts, conducting weekly sales meetings and general problem solving. The plaintiff attempted to find alternate employment but in the 10 months following her termination could not find anything in the interior design business. The general division assessed her damages for payment in lieu of notice as 12 months.
