Referring to the prosecutor's closing argument quoted above, defendant contends the prosecutor committed misconduct by arguing to the jury that defendant was guilty because the shootings were a group crime. Defendant, however, did not object to the prosecutor's argument or request that the jury be admonished to ignore it. These omissions, with no showing that an objection would have been futile, result in defendant forfeiting the claim on appeal. (People v. Brown (2003) 31 Cal.4th 518, 553.)
