The objection in the trial court was based on the contention that, since the investigator was working for, and retained by, defense counsel, the recording represented a 'work product' of that attorney. In this court, the briefs discuss the matter as though it involved the kind of 'discovery' involved in Prudhomme v. Superior Court (1970) 2 Cal.3d 320, 10 85 Cal.Rptr. 129, 466 P.2d 673.
