Although Gordon v. Goertz sets out the appropriate considerations in every case dealing with the custody of a child, it is important to note that this case is not a motion to change the conditions of a custody order and is not a mobility case. There has never been a determination regarding custody of Cylus. A mobility case is generally brought when a custodial parent wishes to leave the area in which he or she has lived with the child and where the move that is contemplated will significantly affect the child’s relationship with the other parent.
