Actions of foreign officials should not be questioned lightly and allegations of misconduct on their part should not be given credence without further proof: United States of America v. Freimuth, 2004 BCSC 154. In addition, when a person sought complains of an absence of prosecutorial diligence, or other official misconduct, it is appropriate for a foreign prosecutor to respond in a manner which allows for the expansion of the evidentiary record in order to address the issues raised: United States of America v. Pal, 2010 BCCA 480.
