In Singh, the court set out at para. 56 the standard of care that is applicable to an officer’s conduct is : 56… that of a reasonable police officer, acting reasonably and within the statutory powers imposed on him or her according to the circumstances of the case: see Burbank v. R.T.B., 2007 BCCA 215, at para. 28.
