What is the standard order that costs be awarded to the successful party?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from Kerr v. Krenek, 2011 ONSC 294 (CanLII):

The parties may address me with respect to costs in writing. I am unaware of any written offers that would change the normal order that costs be awarded to the successful party, that is, the applicant. The applicant was the only one here represented by counsel and I must say counsel was of great assistance at trial. If costs have not been agreed between the parties the applicant may submit a costs outline in writing to me within 30 days. The respondent will have 15 days from the service of the costs outline on him to respond in writing to it. ___________________________ DUNN J. Released: January 20, 2011 CITATION: Kerr v.
