In addition to considering each parties’ declared income, there is a broad judicial discretion to impute income to either or both of the spouses for the purposes of determining child and spousal support. The party seeking to have income imputed must establish an evidentiary basis for such a finding: Marquez v. Zapiola, 2013 BCCA 433 at para. 36.
