For the purposes of both child and spousal support, the court has a broad discretion to impute income to either spouse. The authorities establish that the party seeking to have income imputed to the other spouse has the burden of establishing an evidentiary basis for such a finding (Marquez v. Zapiola, 2013 BCCA 43).
