In WCAT-2006-03394, Yee v. Degano et al., issued on August 31, 2006 the panel considered the circumstances of a plaintiff who was involved in a motor vehicle accident while dropping off his daughter at school, prior to attending a meeting with a client. The panel found that the plaintiff was still on the route that constituted a significant deviation for personal reasons when the accident occurred, and therefore the accident did not occur in the course of his employment.
