Relevance. We see two major components to a relevance analysis in this context. First, there must be sufficient evidence in the particular case to support a contention that the syndrome applies to the woman involved. (People v. Gomez, supra, 72 Cal.App.4th at p. 415.) Second, there must be a contested issue as to which the syndrome testimony is probative. (Evid. Code, 801.)
