We alternatively conclude that even if error occurred, it was harmless beyond a reasonable doubt. (Delaware v. Van Arsdall (1986) 475 U.S. 673, 684.) Among the factors we consider are: the importance of the witness's testimony to the prosecution's case; whether that testimony was cumulative; whether there is evidence to corroborate or contradict the witness on material points; the extent of cross examination allowed by the trial court; and the overall strength of the prosecution's case.
