We review the trial court's determination of the relevancy of evidence under an abuse of discretion standard. (People v. Weaver (2001) 26 Cal.4th 876, 933.) The trial court has broad discretion to determine the relevance of evidence, "'but lacks discretion to admit irrelevant evidence.'" (Ibid.)
