The following excerpt is from People v. Ambriz, C075836 (Cal. App. 2015):
Under Evidence Code section 352 the court may exclude evidence if its probative value is substantially outweighed by the probability its admission will necessitate undue consumption of time or create substantial danger of undue prejudice, of confusing the issues, or of misleading the jury. We review the trial court's decision to admit evidence under the abuse of discretion standard. (People v. Pierce (2002) 104 Cal.App.4th 893, 900-901.)
