What is the test for a motion in limine to exclude evidence in a personal injury case?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from People v. Mispley, C092345 (Cal. App. 2021):

Section 353 provides that a verdict shall not be set aside for erroneous admission of evidence unless there appears of record an objection to or a motion to exclude the evidence. When a motion in limine to exclude evidence does not satisfy the basic requirements of section 353, a proper objection must be made to preserve the evidentiary issue for appeal. (People v. Morris (1991) 53 Cal.3d 152, 190.)
