What is the scope of the Attorney General's testimony in a sexual abuse case?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from People v. Aunko, A146054 (Cal. App. 2018):

admissible to address misconceptions about how child victims of sexual abuse typically act, an issue that bears on a witness's credibility. (See McAlpin, supra, 53 Cal.3d at p. 1300.) Moreover, the testimony was elicited by the prosecutor after the defense first raised the issue of false allegations. We agree with the Attorney General that the testimony was therefore relevant to "offer a more balanced picture" in rebuttal. (People v. Jones (2003) 30 Cal.4th 1084, 1121.)
