"A trial court's decision to admit or exclude expert testimony is reviewed for abuse of discretion. [Citation.]" (People v. Pearson (2013) 56 Cal.4th 393, 443.) Under that standard, we will not disturb the trial court's decision unless it was arbitrary, capricious, or patently absurd resulting in a manifest miscarriage of justice. (People v.
