The following excerpt is from People v. Steeplechase Park Co., 113 N.E. 521, 218 N.Y. 459 (N.Y. 1916):
The right of the public to use the foreshore in England is very restricted. In Blundell v. Catterall, 5 B. & Ald. 268, it was held not to include the right of bathing. The court in that case, speaking by Holroyd, J., say:
