The test for admission or exclusion of evidence is set out in Regina v. Collins, 1987 CanLII 84 (SCC), [1987] 1 S.C.R. 265. The general test is whether the admission of the evidence could bring the administration of justice into disrepute in the eyes of a reasonable person, dispassionate and fully apprised of the circumstances of the case.
