What are the grounds of appeal for the admissibility of two statements that were submitted to the jury after voir dires?

Alberta, Canada

The following excerpt is from R. v. Lacorde, 1975 ALTASCAD 22 (CanLII):

The second and third grounds of appeal concern the admissibility of two statements made to the police that were submitted to the jury after voir dires conducted by the learned trial judge. One statement was oral, the other written. We are of the opinion that the circumstances under which these statements were obtained ought to be examined in the light of the principles enunciated in Boudreau v. The King (1949) 1949 CanLII 26 (SCC), 94 C.C.C. 1. Considered in that way, we believe the statements were properly admitted, and placed before the jury.
