What is the limitation period for bringing an action to enforce a judgment or order?

It seems clear from cases such as Young v. Verigin, 2007 BCCA 551, that the right to bring process to enforce a judgment or order must be brought before the expiry of the limitation period. The statutory scheme contemplates the right to bring proceedings on judgments or orders before the expiry of the limitation period. The effect of doing so, provided such an action is not shown to be an abuse of process, is effectively to extend the limitation period applicable to the original judgment or order. But there is nothing in the scheme that I can see that authorises the renewal of an order or the initiation of new enforcement proceedings once the limitation period has expired.
