The mere fact that there is a discrepancy between the report and what occurred in the proceeding will not defeat the privilege if the difference is not of a substantial nature or does not produce a different effect: Andrews v. Chapman (1853), 175 E.R. 558. Only significant errors will deprive the reporter of the privilege.
