The principle on which interest may be awarded on a debt is set out in Prince Albert Pulp v. Foundation Co. of Canada, 1976 CanLII 151 (SCC), 8 N.R. 181;[1976] 4 W.W.R. 586 (S.C.C.). In the present circumstances there were no facts before the trial judge which would justify the awarding of interest.
