Does the limitation period apply to loss at bar?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from MGM Construction Ltd. v. Metro Roofing & Sheet Metal Ltd., 2014 BCSC 2346 (CanLII):

The respondent does not address the limitation period in its application response, but did cite Armstrong v. West Vancouver (District), 2003 BCCA 73 in submissions before me. Presumably that case was cited for the proposition that the loss at bar is one of “pure economic loss” to which a six year limitation applies.
