Viewed from that perspective, as we must in light of the jury’s verdict, we see no basis for interfering with the quantum of damages or the heads under which they were awarded. In this regard, we are guided by the principles enunciated in Hill v. Church of Scientology of Toronto, 1995 CanLII 59 (SCC), [1995] 2 S.C.R. 1130, and the circumstances giving rise to the award of general, aggravated and punitive damages in that case.
