Is there any case law where a plaintiff has used the trial date of October 13, 1992 for the base calculation of future earning capacity damages?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Yeung (Guardian ad litem of) v. Au, 2008 BCSC 147 (CanLII):

In Summers v. Boneham, the economic consultant used the trial date of October 13, 1992 for the base calculation of loss of future earning capacity. Without explaining the basis for doing so, the court awarded pre-judgment interest on the amount of damages for this loss from October 13, 1992 until the date of the judgment, October 30, 1992.
