In the instant case the trial judge did modify the position which he had taken when he recalled the jury for further instructions. He did not however go far enough to adequately explain to the jury that the appellant was entitled to have the explanatory statements given by him to the police officers assessed accordingly to the principle set out in Regina v. Risby, supra.
