In Larlee v. Shier, 2008 BCSC 1610, the female plaintiff was 62 years old and age 59 at the time of the accident. She was employed. She suffered neck, shoulder, and soft tissue injuries which caused headaches, as well as an injury to her knee and elbow. The knee and elbow injuries resolved quickly. The pain the plaintiff suffered interfered with her sleep. She was unable to do her housework, nor tend to her garden for which she had a passion. Three years after the accident, Madam Justice Morrison found:
