In this case, I do not believe that the board was demonstrably wrong in coming to the decision that it did. In coming to this conclusion, I have followed the procedure suggested by McDermid J.A. in Livingston v. Siebens [supra], at p. 491, namely, I have “started with the award of the board and considered what evidence there was relating to deals made in the area by oil companies and landowners and how, if the board had considered this evidence, as they should have, it would have affected their awards”.
