The appellant also relies on the case of Regina v. Wis Developments Corporation Ltd. et al (S.C.C.) (1984) 1984 CanLII 140 (SCC), 12 C.C.C. (3d) 129, as authority for the procedure followed here but, as is carefully pointed out by Lamer, J. in that case, it dealt with summary conviction matters. Wis, supra, has accordingly no application to the present case.
