A claim of solicitor-client privilege extends to communications made between a solicitor and client where it can be demonstrated that the communication was made with a view to obtaining legal advice and the communication was intended to be confidential. (see Descoteaux v. Mierzwinski 1982), 1982 CanLII 22 (SCC), 141 D.L.R. (3d) 590 (S.C.C.)
