In what circumstances will a solicitor be personally liable for costs?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from Baryluk (Wyrd Sisters) v. Campbell, 2009 CanLII 34042 (ON SC):

In my opinion, this is one of those rare and exceptional cases, like Schreiber v. Mulroney, supra, in which the court should exercise its discretion under Rule 57.07 to require a solicitor to be personally liable for costs. This proceeding was a baseless and scurrilous attack on judges of this court and it must be denounced.
