On December 21, 2021 I gave the defendants leave to amend their statement of defence [1824120 Ontario Limited v. Matich, 2021 ONSC 8389]. They plead two main defences: a. There was no valid agreement of purchase and sale because the purported counteroffer was only signed by the two parents, not the daughter. b. They did not act in bad faith. They acted in good faith on the advice of their solicitor.
