Citing Yount v. City of Sacramento (2008) 43 Cal.4th 885, 76 Cal.Rptr.3d 787, 183 P.3d 471 ( Yount ), the trial court determined that due to "temporal breaks" in the incident, the answer to the jury's questionwhether the use of excessive force "subsequent to" a violation of section 148(a)(1)"invalidate[s]" the violationwas "no." The jury was given "NO" as the response to its question.
