In KRL v. Moore, the plaintiffs in a 1983 action, like plaintiffs here, claimed a search warrant lacked probable cause. The plaintiffs challenged the reliability of the informant alleging that the officer's affidavit omitted: (1) the informant's criminal history, and grudge against plaintiffs, (2) lacked corroboration of informant's testimony, a prior complaint filed by the informant was investigated and found to be unsubstantiated.
