Speaking of compensation under this heading Locke, J., said in Drew v. The Queen, 1961 CanLII 76 (SCC), 29 D.L.R.(2d) 114, at 124: The allowance made in respect of the dislocation of any business carried on and the loss of profit in the interval before it can be established elsewhere is, of necessity, in the nature of unliquidated damages and, except in very rare circumstances, cannot be determined with complete accuracy.
