The following excerpt is from The People v. Lopez, B223303, No. BA074093 (Cal. App. 2010):
In addressing a challenge to the sufficiency of the evidence, we review the entire record in the light most favorable to the judgment to determine whether any rational jury could have found the essential elements of the crime beyond a reasonable doubt. (People v. Zamudio (2008) 43 Cal.4th 327, 357.) We do not reweigh the evidence or resolve evidentiary conflicts. "A reversal for insufficient evidence 'is unwarranted unless it appears "that upon no hypothesis whatever is there sufficient substantial evidence to support" ' the jury's verdict.
