57. In R v. Mitchell[xvi], the offender pled guilty to two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm. She had a blood alcohol concentration of between 102-117 mgs when she lost control of her vehicle which crashed into a tree and a building. She was 31 years of age and had no prior criminal record. The two passengers in the vehicle had extensive injuries which required surgery and the likelihood of ongoing medical assistance in the future.
